We started chatting at the trailhead
and never stopped.
It was a set up.
Our dear friends Nikkie and Cody saw this coming long before we did, and invited us both on a backpacking trip. Both an unlikely, and perfect place to meet the love of your life, the trail provided a place for us to breeze through the small talk and get to the important stuff. Like “Oh shit, we’re pretty far behind. Did they go left or right?”
And from the beginning, something clicked. Will even said…
“Hey, can we take a selfie? I think we might want it someday.”
Then began the back and forth
Will was in LA
Kyle was in SF
So we FaceTimed a lot.
Even though we were separated by 500 miles, we managed to spend more time together than apart, thanks to flexible jobs.
After 6 months of long distance, Will packed up the Subaru and headed North.
Then the real fun could begin
